Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors
Cedaredge Community United Methodist Church is committed to serving our community during this time when literally keeping our doors open is not the best thing for our community. But no health crisis can close our sense of what it means to be a church with open doors. We welcome all people of all races, genders, ages, incomes and beliefs. We are a people committed to living for others. We are here to listen, to accompany you in the joys and challenges of life. Now more than ever, our faith community opens our hearts, our minds and our symbolic doors to you. From online Bible study to weekly postings of Pastor Joe's sermons on this website to finding folks to help you meet the needs of daily life, we are here. Call or email Pastor Joe Agne:

Prayers for Our Nation
Among the most sacred things we do as a nation is vote. Voting is the heart of our democracy. From now until Election Day, even if we have voted ahead of time, we will pause to light a candle and pray together in worship. The prayer offered on Sunday can be prayed each day of the week in our homes. Light a candle and pray for wisdom and courage as we vote. All of us will not be voting for the same people, yet we love the same nation. Let’s pray together as we head for the polls. — Pastor Joe
Prayer for the week of November 1
Jesus wants to carry our weariness. Offer Jesus whatever burdens — thoughts or feelings — you have about our nation and its future. Give thanks for Jesus' steady companionship.
Thanks to the Rev. Karen Winkel and Community Spirit Church of Montrose the inspiration for our prayers for our nation, which were adapted from their 40 days of prayer as our nation prepares to go to the polls.
To All Members and Friends of CCUMC,
We continue to need your financial support during this time when, for the safety of all, we must limit our physical interactions with each other. We must maintain our building and support our community outreach. We need to pay our staff and pastor who are working hard to grow our ministry in new ways under difficult circumstances with new technology. Passing the collection plate for now means sustaining your pledge and giving online by using the Donate button in the top right corner of this page — or mail a check or money order payable to CCUMC to CCUMC, P.O.
