Saturday, November 17:

Christmas Is Coming: Advent Preparation Event. With the stress of the holidays approaching, this an event for families of all sizes from single persons to large families to think about the meaning of Christmas and how to make it a time of celebration rather than too much work and financial overload. There will be separate sessions for children and adults as well as intergenerational games, snacks and lunch. Participants will prepare gifts for those in need in the area and make Advent calendars and wreaths to use in their homes.

Saturday, October 20:

St. Francis Event with A Blessing of the Animals. Children will discover what can be learned from the birds of the air, the fish of the sea and the animals that walk on the land. They’ll do a project to benefit homeless and injured animals. Following lunch, their parents and all in the community will be invited to bring pets and special animals for a service of blessing the animals. Rumor is that one or two horses will be on hand for the children to meet.

Saturday, December 8:

Parents’ Day Out. Parents and grandparents can drop off children then spend the day as they want. The program will be extended from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. to give them a fuller day to do holiday preparations, catch up on work or simply rest. The children will focus on the gift of Jesus with the theme “What Gifts Can We Bring?” based on the story of the three magi who visited the baby Jesus. They will make gifts for others, play games and more.
